Games & Books Manufacturer Since 1998
We understand that artwork, unpublished books, game designs, product concepts, and other creative materials may be commercially sensitive.
Client-provided files and product information are used for the purpose of quotation, production, quality control, and related project coordination. We do not use a client's designs as our own products or intentionally distribute them to unrelated third parties.
If a project involves particularly sensitive or unpublished materials, clients can also discuss confidentiality requirements with us before sharing the complete files.
We respect the intellectual property rights of our clients and understand that protecting unpublished products is an important part of a professional manufacturing relationship.
You can still contact us. We can first review the files you have and identify what needs to be prepared before production.
Depending on the project, this may involve checking page dimensions, cover structure, spine information, image resolution, bleed, artwork placement, die-cut areas, or finishing positions.
For products with special structures, we can also provide templates or technical references to help your designer prepare the artwork correctly.
If adjustments are required, we will explain the issue clearly and indicate what needs to be changed rather than simply rejecting the file.
Our goal is to make the transition from design files to manufacturable files as straightforward as possible.
Yes. Repeat production is an important part of our cooperation with publishing and product-development clients.
For repeat orders, we can refer to the previously confirmed specifications, materials, finishing requirements, packaging standards, and production records. This helps maintain consistency between different production runs.
If you need to make changes for a new edition, such as updating the artwork, changing the quantity, modifying the packaging, or introducing a new finish, we can review the changes separately while keeping the existing product specifications as a reference.
For clients with regular production requirements, we aim to establish a stable manufacturing workflow so that future orders can be handled more efficiently.
Yes. We can coordinate different printed and paper-based components as part of the same project instead of requiring you to manage each component separately.
For example, a single product may contain a book, card deck, game board, tokens, instruction sheet, box, and additional printed materials. These components can have different production methods and specifications, but we can coordinate their manufacturing and final assembly.
This can simplify communication and reduce the need to manage multiple suppliers.
We can also help coordinate packaging requirements, carton packing, labeling, and shipment preparation so that the finished components are ready to be delivered as one complete product where applicable.
For projects containing many components, we will first review the complete product structure and determine how the different parts should be manufactured and coordinated.
Yes. You do not always need to start with a complete technical specification.
If you already have a physical sample, product from another manufacturer, prototype, drawing, photograph, or concept, you can provide it to us for evaluation. Our team can review the structure and help identify the main manufacturing specifications required to reproduce or improve the product.
We can assist with evaluating dimensions, paper and board materials, construction, binding, component combinations, packaging structures, and decorative effects.
If certain materials or production methods are not practical for the required quantity or budget, we can also suggest alternative solutions that achieve a similar appearance or function.
This approach is particularly useful for clients who have a finished product concept but do not yet have a complete manufacturing specification.
Our production process is straightforward and transparent. Here’s how it typically works:
Inquiry & Specification – You provide your project details, including product type, quantity, size, paper stock, binding, and finishing requirements (lamination, embossing, foil stamping, etc.).
Quotation & Confirmation – We send you a detailed quote. Once you confirm, we move to the next step.
File Review & Sample Production – You provide your print-ready PDF files (300 DPI recommended, with 3mm bleed included). We review the files for technical issues and produce a physical sample for your approval.
Sample Approval & Deposit – After you approve the sample, you pay the 50% deposit to start mass production.
Mass Production & In-line QC – We manufacture your order using our full-scale offset printing presses (e.g., Heidelberg). Throughout production, we conduct multiple quality checks — including color density verification, registration accuracy, and binding strength tests — to ensure consistency and quality.
Final Payment & Shipment – Once production is complete and final quality inspection (FQI) passes, we notify you to arrange the 50% balance payment. After payment is confirmed, we ship the order and provide shipping details.
We also offer pre-press technical support to help you with file setup — including providing die-cut templates and bleed guides if needed. And yes, we welcome client inspections during or after production. If you’re not able to visit in person, we can arrange remote inspection via video call or send detailed photos for your review.
Our standard payment structure is 50% deposit before mass production begins, and the remaining 50% balance must be settled before shipment. This applies to all orders unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept multiple payment methods, including T/T bank transfers, PayPal, and cash payments. For larger orders, we generally advise against using PayPal due to its relatively high transaction fees.
We require a minimum order quantity (MOQ) of 400 units per design. If you have a smaller project, feel free to contact us — we can evaluate it on a case-by-case basis.
The final balance must be cleared before we release the shipment. This ensures a smooth and timely delivery process, without any unexpected holds.
From file confirmation and deposit receipt to production completion, our standard production lead time is approximately 3 to 7 working days. The exact timeline depends on the product type:
Softcover books (perfect binding) : around 3 working days
Hardcover books (case binding) : around 5 working days
Board games and custom sets (including cards, boxes, boards) : lead time varies based on the number and complexity of components
We do support urgent orders and express production services. If you need faster delivery, we’ll first check whether we can accommodate your timeline. A rush order fee of approximately 200 USD applies for expedited requests.
Key factors that can affect the production schedule include the completeness and quality of your print-ready PDF files (300 DPI with bleed), whether revisions are needed after sample approval, and occasional uncontrollable variables such as unexpected production issues or customs clearance delays.
To ensure a smooth process, we recommend providing finalized, properly formatted files and confirming your sample sign-off as early as possible.
Once mass production is finished and the final balance payment has been received, we can ship your order immediately — there’s no additional waiting time on our side.
Shipping times vary depending on the destination and the transport method you choose (sea freight, air freight, or courier). For sea freight shipping, typical transit times range from 30 to 70 days, depending on the shipping route, port schedules, and vessel availability. We’re flexible with logistics and support the use of your designated freight forwarder if you have one.
We’ll do our best to provide tracking information once the shipment is on its way. For sea freight, however, real-time tracking is not always available — in such cases, we can only provide estimated arrival dates based on the shipping schedule. We’ll keep you informed along the way and let you know as soon as we have concrete updates.
Yes, we offer custom sample production and prototype approval services for all our printing products, including book printing, board game manufacturing, and paper packaging solutions.
A sample fee is charged based on the actual product type — for example, hardcover book printing takes about 5 working days, softcover book printing around 3 working days, and board game prototyping varies depending on the components involved.
The sample fee is not waived, but it can be fully deducted from the final order cost if you proceed with mass production.
We support international sample shipping, with the shipping cost borne by the client.
Please note that samples are produced using digital printing equipment, so there may be slight color differences and minor variations compared to the final offset printing bulk order.
Some paper thicknesses may also differ, as our sample machines cannot always replicate the exact specifications of our full-scale production machinery. In fact, the quality and precision of mass-produced items are generally better than samples, since commercial offset printing delivers more consistent, refined, and color-accurate results.
If you're not completely satisfied with the sample, we’re happy to make design adjustments, format corrections, or content revisions.
We also provide pre-press technical support to help resolve any file-related issues, so you can be confident that the final product meets your expectations.
Yes. Bestrand Printing provides sample services to help customers confirm product quality before shipment.
Before mass production, we can provide digital samples and arrange shipment if required, allowing customers to check the colors, materials, structure, and overall appearance.
After mass production is completed, we can also provide production samples from the finished order and arrange shipment for final approval before delivery. Customers can check the actual production quality, including printing, binding, and finishing effects.
